Jean C. Figerle, age 80 of Shelton, devoted wife of the late Walter Figerle, passed away July 13, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Figerle was born in Derby, February 13, 1935, daughter of the late Calvin and Ruth Wright Sabatini and was a lifelong Shelton resident. Jean was a graduate of Shelton High School, Class of 1952, and a member of the Church Of The Good Shepherd of Shelton, where she worked in their Thrift Shop. She was also a volunteer at VARCA Inc. George Hegyi Industries of Derby. She is survived by her sons, Richard Alcutt and his wife Christine of Shelton, and Thomas Alcutt of Shelton; her daughter, Carol Alcutt of Shelton; her grandchildren, Jessica Alcutt-Simonetti and her husband Capt. Joseph Simonetti, USAF, of Annandale, VA, and Michael Alcutt of Shelton; her great-grandson, Michael Simonetti; her brothers, Calvin Sabatini of Florida, and Edward Sabatini and his wife Eunice of Ansonia; her sister, Ruth Prillaman of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Frank "Sonny" Sabatini. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 10 AM at Riverside Cemetery, Shelton with Rev. Ballard Dorsee officiating.
