Peter Nomack, age 82 of Seymour, formerly of Stamford, beloved husband of 62 years to Rosemarie Carriero Nomack, passed away March 19, 2016 at home with his loving family by his side. Peter was born in Stamford, May 6, 1933, son of the late Gus and Mary Berozancka Nomack. Mr. Nomack was a U.S. Army Veteran having proudly served his country during the Korean War. After proudly serving his country, he worked as a truck driver for Telesco Industries of Stamford for many years until his retirement. He also worked as an oil burner technician for several companies and worked as a custodian for Stamford Public Schools. He was a former member of the VFW Post 10013 of Stamford. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Visconti (Charles) of Norwalk, and Marianne Jones (Skip) of Eugene, OR; his sons, Peter Nomack of Milford, John Nomack of Seymour, Michael Nomack (Tami) of Prospect, and Stephen Nomack (Kathy) of Norwalk; his grandchildren, Carli, and Martha Visconti, Jessica, Adam, David, Daniel, and Lexi Nomack, and Kenny Jones; his sister, Sophie DeNardo of Stamford, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Harry, Michael, and John Nomack; and his sisters, Tess Telesco, and Anne Morelli. Funeral Services will be held Thursday March 31st at 9:00 AM from the James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM in Sts. Peter & Paul Church, 105 Clifton Ave. Ansonia. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held Wednesday March 30th from 4 PM to 7 PM at the funeral home. Panikhida will be held at 6:30 PM.
