Eugenia M. Stec, age 93 of Seymour, beloved wife of the late William J. Stec, passed away March 17, 2018 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Eugenia was born in Mayfield, PA, February 26, 1925, daughter of the late Harry Klaptosky and Mildred Kawash Klaptosky. She was employed as a meat wrapper for Stop and Shop for many years until her retirement. She was a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Church of Shelton and was a member of the Polish Cousins Polka Club. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, going to the casino, and vacationing in Rhode Island. She is survived by her daughters Gale Cirillo and her husband Brian with whom she resided over the last year of Seymour, and Bonny Van Kamerik and her husband Jack of Oxford, her grandchildren William, Tiffany, and Christine Cirillo, and Jonathan and Christopher Van Kamerik. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Walter Klaptosky. Calling hours will be held Friday March 23, 2018 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton. Her procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Margaret Mary Church, Shelton.
