Evelyn M. McClellan, age 93, beloved wife of the late David McClellan Jr., passed away August 7, 2017 at Beacon Brook Health Center, Naugatuck.  Evelyn was born in Oxford, October 15, 1923, daughter of the late Herbert and Katherine Barrett McIntyre and was a lifelong Shelton resident.  She was a graduate of Shelton High School, Class of 1941 and worked as an executive secretary for Sikorsky Aircraft for over 30 years until her retirement.  She will be greatly missed, loved and cherished by her special nieces, Dorothy Murtha, Joanne Wagner, and Betty McNelly, and her dear friend, Jane Quinn.  Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her son, David McClellan, III; her brothers, John, Andrew, Herbert, George, and Grover McIntyre; and her sisters, Mary Almandinger, Katherine Wheeler, Martha Santos, Amy Smith, and Hazel McIntyre.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday August 12th at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph Church, 424 Coram Ave., Shelton.  Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Shelton.  Calling hours will be held Saturday from 8 AM to 9 AM at the James T.
