Laura F. Ciuchta

Laura F. Ciuchta, age 91 of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Stanley F. Ciuchta, passed away April 16, 2018 at Gardner Heights Health Care Center, Shelton.  Laura was born in Shelton, May 8, 1926, daughter of the late Pasquale and Minnie Randazise Marchitto.  She was a lifelong Shelton resident and was a self-employed seamstress and also worked as a bus aide for the City of Shelton.  She was an active member of the PTA, Shelton Senior Center, and the St. Margaret Mary’s Ladies Guild.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cooking.  Her deep faith in God and love of her family were most important to her.  She will be remembered for her generous giving nature, and always being there to help others with a smile.  She was “the best” and will be deeply missed by every life she touched.  Laura’s memory will be lovingly remembered by her devoted children, daughter Karen Millea (Dennis), her son Mark Ciuchta, her grandchildren Michael Millea (Sondra), and James Millea (Christina), her great-grandchildren Riley, Sierra, and Dylan Millea, and several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Angeline Greico and Frances Marchitto.  A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday April 20, 2018 at 11:30 AM at St. Margaret Mary Church, Shelton.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Laura’s memory to St. Margaret Mary Church, 50 Donovan Lane, Shelton, CT 06484.  The family would like to give a special thank you to the loving care Laura and Stanley received at Gardner Heights.  The James T.
