My deepest sympathy in the loss of your dear sweet Mother. Every now and then I would meet her as I took my walks around the neighborhood. I remember one time she called me in to help her set her alarm clock and on another occasion she showed me how she was making home made pasta. That was amazing! She will be truly missed

Frank, Tony, and Paula - I just heard last night of the passing of your wonderful mother - and I'm sorry I missed the wake/funeral. I just posted this on Facebook and know it will reach many other teachers who knew her:
I was again saddened to hear last night of the passing of another old neighborhood friend, the second this week - Mrs. Stella D'Angelo, who died on 10/3 at the ripe old age of almost 94. Mrs. D'Angelo was also a secretary at Shelton High School, like Mrs. Laura Keller who recently died. I was often in Mrs. D'Angelo's home as a kid since her sons were close friends of my brother and me. She lived across from City Hall, though, and my fondest memories are of taking my daughters in the 80s and then, years later, my grandson, for walks in the neighborhood and chatting with Mrs. D'Angelo, who was a wonderfully social being. I'm sure my daughters and even my grandson, Michael, remember her! Mrs. D'Angelo and Mrs. Keller are among the very last of my parents' generation whom I knew well, and I will miss them!

Paula, Tony, and Frank and families-
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy at the passing of Stella. She was always a happy, friendly woman who made the summers of Cedarhurst a lot of fun. I remember coming to the cottage and she was always smiling and welcoming. Both her and your Dad have left a nice memory on my heart. I will be thinking of you all today, on this very sad day. Prayers and thoughts are with you all. :(

Stella was a very loving and caring person throughout her life. She was always ready to step in and assist with the care of her family and friends. She also made time for the Shelton RTC any time we needed a hand. She knew how important it was to be part of the Lauretti Team and gave her all.

The City of Shelton and the downtown community were very blessed to have a woman of her strength, character and grace. She will be missed.

Our condolences and sympathies to her family and friends.

Anthony F. Simonetti on behalf of the Shelton Republican Town Comm.

My husband, Past Commander, Richard and I have many memories of Stella from the American Legion. She was full of stories of the different conventions they attended and of all the good they did together for our Post. A very memorable lady.. She would have enjoyed the fact we had the National Commander for Dinner at the Post Tuesday evening.. I have long missed her. Gail Rosenbaum Past President Unit 16

I met Stella for the first time in school. She was always smiling and very helpful. I remember how well organized she kept her office and all of us. As a new teacher I really counted on her. She never disappointed me. She always said, "Yes, I can help you." As I got to know her better, I found her to be one of sweetest ladies ever. I am so sorry for her family's loss.
