Salome (Sally) W. Ambro, age 91 of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Morris Ambro, passed away January 8, 2019 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. Sally was born in Derby, November 22, 1927, daughter of the late Stanislaus and Karolina Bak Wajdowicz. Sally worked as a fabricator for the former BF Goodrich of Shelton for many years. She is survived by her son Daniel C. Fraraccio (Barbara) of Shelton, her granddaughter Christina Beglan (Daniel) of England, her great grandchildren Christopher and Miranda Fraraccio and their mother Sheri of Shelton, her stepson Maurice Ambro (Beverly) of Shelton, her stepdaughter Jeanne Gordon of Tehechapi, California, her brother Matthew Wajdowicz (Terri) of Vermont, her sisters-in-law Loretta Wajdowicz of Florida, Joan Marie Wajdowicz of Ansonia, and Diane Steere of Massachusetts, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also survived by her close friend and confidant Millie Reuther of Shelton. Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her first husband Daniel J. Fraraccio, her grandson Daryl Fraraccio, her brothers Eugene Wajdowicz, Roman Wajdowicz, Henry Wajdowicz, and Stanley Wajdowicz, Jr., her sisters Cecilia Zorskis Hyjek and Irene Miklenivich, and her sisters-in-law Ann Wajdowicz, and Betty Ann Wajdowicz. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph Church, Shelton at a later date to be announced. The James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton has been entrusted with arrangements.
