On February 27, 2017, from his home in Ansonia, CT, Stanley Joseph Karkut left on a journey into another phase of his being.  Along the way, ‘Joey’ expressed hopes of again seeing his parents, Stanley and Anna, his sister, Holly Ann, and many friends.  His absence here will be greatly felt by his other family members and close friends he had made during his stays in Connecticut, and other areas.  His close friends and family would like ‘Joey’s presence here to be remembered the next time you experience a great line of humor, or a beautiful sunrise or sunset, or while savoring an excellent beverage you happened across.  ‘Joey’ left no formal or final good byes – just take care, love you all, and I’ll see you.  A celebration in memory of ‘Joey’ will be held Friday, March 3, 2017 at the James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton from 5 to 7 PM.  We welcome all of Joey’s friends.  Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
