William A. Loescher, age 86 of Shelton, beloved husband of the late Florence Cichanowicz Loescher, passed away August 28, 2018 at his residence. William was born and raised in Shelton, November 28, 1931, son of the late William J. and Mildred Schorick Loescher. He was a graduate of Bullard-Havens Technical High School, Class of 1948 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. After serving his country, he was a self-employed manufacturer’s representative for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family and being a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his sons Peter Loescher (Wendy) of Shelton, and Jerry Loescher (Christine) of Oxford, his grandchildren Noah and Chloe Loescher of Oxford, and his special niece Linda Beckwith. Calling hours will be held Friday August 31, 2018 from 5 PM to 8 PM at the James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday September 1, 2018 at 9 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, Shelton. Interment will follow at Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery, Derby.
