Alan M. Potucek, age 50 of Shelton, passed away February 4, 2014. Alan was born in Derby, January 2, 1964, son of the late Paul and Carol (Butler) Potucek and was a lifelong Shelton resident. He was a graduate of Shelton High School, Class of 1982, and worked as a truck driver for Candee Construction Company, Bridgeport for over 20 years. He is survived by his brothers, Paul Potucek Jr. of New York, Daniel and James Potucek of Shelton; his sisters, Linda Bednar and her husband Richard of Shelton, Deborah Martin of Colorado, Kathleen Potucek of South Dakota, and Cynthia Potucek of Shelton; his buddy Hank, who was his faithful and caring dog, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a nephew, Daniel Potucek Jr. At the request of the family, there will be no calling hours. Burial will be private. THE JAMES T.
