Angel M. Maldonado

Angel M. Maldonado, age 74 of Bridgeport, passed away January 14, 2026 at Bridgeport Hospital.  Angel was born in Caguanas, Utuado, Puerto Rico, November 3, 1951, son of Maria Feliciano and the late Octavio Maldonado.  He was the owner and operator of Mr. Mario’s Appliance of Bridgeport for many years.  He enjoyed playing dominos and being with his family.  Besides his mother, he is survived by his children Anthony Ayala, William Maldonado, Angelo Maldonado, and Elvira Maldonado, his grandchildren Angelique, William Jr., Ariana, Lorilei, Anthony Jr., Antonette, Jessica, Malayna, Jaliza, Clarissa, Alexandria, and Brooklyn, and a plethora of great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brothers Eduardo Maldonado, Louis Datil Maldonado, William Maldonado, Ivan Maldonado, Julio Cruz, Raymond Cruz, George Feliciano, and Eriberto Maldonado, his sisters Anna Maldonado, Cristina Maldonado, and Elizabeth Santiago and a host of nieces and nephews.  Besides his father, he was predeceased by his spouse Robin Garay, and his brother Louis Maldonado.  Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 9am to 11am at the James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton.  Interment will follow at Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery, Derby.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, 50 Fairmont Place, Shelton, CT 06484.
