Angela H. Kells-Murphy

Angela H. Kells-Murphy, age 85 of Shelton, passed away November 13, 2025 at Chatham Place at Mary Wade, New Haven.  She was born in Ottawa, IL, February 27, 1940, daughter of the late Jesse G. and Salud Vasguez Jarigese.  She was a Sterile Processing Technician Supervisor at Griffin Hospital for many years until her retirement.  She enjoyed gardening, jigsaw puzzles, word searches, and taking care of her dog Honeybear.  She is survived by her son Michael Kells-Murphy (Jeanie), her granddaughter Shea Kells-Murphy, her siblings Lupe Forster (Edward), Margaret Slafer (Ron), Mary Ann Hert (Joseph), Sue Baxter (Dale), David Jarigese, Jim Jarigese (Candy), and Rose Cummings, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Joseph N. Kells Murphy, her daughter Patricia Kells-Murphy, her siblings Eloisa, Rose Marie, Fred, Joseph, Antonia, Benny, Jesse, and Pasqual Jarigese.  Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at the James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11AM at St. Margaret Mary Church, 50 Donovan Lane, Shelton.  Interment will be held at 1PM at State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown.  Memorial contributions may be made in Angela's memory to the Knights Of Columbus at www.kofc.org.  To leave condolences, please visit www.tooheyfuneralhome.com
