Dexter D. Young

Dexter D. Young, age 88 of Shelton, husband of the late Dolores Young, passed away January 15, 2024 at Apple Rehab, Shelton Lakes, on the eve of his 89th birthday.  He was born in Pawlet, VT, January 16, 1935, son of the late Francis and Maude Hewes Young.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and later worked at Carpenter Technology in Bridgeport for many years until his retirement.  He is survived by his daughter Carol Pendagast and her husband David of Shelton, and several nieces and nephews.  Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his sisters Rita Giordanella, Betty Limeaux, and Jasmine Jennings.  All services and interment will be private.  The James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton has been entrusted with arrangements.
