Elaine Jacobsen

Elaine Jacobsen, age 91 of Ansonia, passed away June 27, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in the Bronx, NY, March 16, 1934, daughter of the late William and Martha Schrog Rudolph.  She worked as a Nurse’s Aide for Westchester Square Hospital for many years until her retirement.  She was also a volunteer for the Whiting Volunteer First Aid Squad of Whiting, NJ.  She is survived by her children Jeannie Narain (Harry), Michael McDonnell (Theresa), and Patricia McDonnell, her grandchildren Elaine, Lara (Nick), Julie, Stephen, Michael, Justin, Sean, and Daniel, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Roland Jacobsen, her children Diane Caprario and John W. McDonnell, and her brother Walter Rudolph.  Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 10:30AM to 12:30PM at the James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton.  A Funeral Service will follow at 12:30PM in the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
