Elizabeth Jacobs

Elizabeth Jacobs, age 91 of Shelton, passed away March 18, 2021 at Bishop Wicke Heath Center, Shelton.  Elizabeth was born in Shelton, September 20, 1929, daughter of the late Fiorino (Frank) Tonucci and Olinda Talamelli Tonucci.  She is survived by her loving husband William Jacobs, Jr., her son William Jacobs, III and his wife Janice, her grandchildren Jacquelyn Ansaldi and her husband Sam, and Jonathan Jacobs and his wife Melissa, her great-grandchild Madeline Ansaldi, and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Otto Tonucci and his wife Ann, Susie Blanko and her husband John, Armand Tonucci and his wife Bertha, Arthur Tonucci and his wife Elizabeth, Viola Koniak and her husband Eddie, and Eleanor Tonucci.  Graveside services will be held Monday at 10AM at Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery, Derby.   Calling hours will be held Sunday from 5PM to 7PM at the James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton.    Please follow current pandemic concerns by wearing a mask and maintain social distancing.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
