Elvira (Fusco) Michel, age 84 of Shelton, formerly of Derby, wife of the late Albert L. Michel, passed away April 9, 2014 at Hewitt Health & Rehab Center, Shelton. Elvira was born in Shelton, June 18, 1929, daughter of the late Ciro J. Fusco Sr. and Filomena (Tortora) Fusco. She was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Derby. She is survived by a son, Allan Michel and his wife Mary-Anne of Seymour; her grandchildren Alexander and Alyssa Michel of Seymour; a sister Anne Wislous of Oneonta, NY; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Ciro J. Fusco Jr.; sisters Dorothy Fusco and Emelia Zuiskowski; and her niece Stacey Fusco. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 AM in the James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter's Cemetery, Derby. There will be no calling hours.
