Irmgard Ursula Gilbert

Irmgard Gilbert, 89, of Stratford, CT died Saturday, April 21st, 2018 at Bridgeport Hospital.  Irmgard lived most of her life in Stamford and raised her family there.  She was a member of the Stamford High Class of 1946 and enjoyed working as a commercial artist in New York City during the 1950s at Vogue, Conde Nast and Norcross Greeting Cards.  She is survived by her four children and seven grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband, James, her brother, Charles, and her sister, Hilda.  Her family members all remember her heart of gold and strong work ethic.  She always put others before herself and gave whatever she could to those in need.  
She will be buried at Bellevue Cemetery in Adams, Massachusetts on April 25th, 2018.
