Obituary

John Wieczorkowski, age 72 of Shelton, passed away January 29, 2021 at Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven.  John was born in Germany, November 20, 1948, son of the late Zygmunt and Mary Kowal Wieczorkowski.  John was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War.  He later worked as a plant manager for Better Packages Inc. for over 50 years until his retirement.  John will be remembered as a kind and generous man to all who knew him.  He is survived by his beloved wife Janice Neal Wieczorkowski, his children Yvonne Brockwell (Sean), and Christine Tenbrink-Burnett, his grandchildren Law Tenbrink and Annie Brockwell, his brothers Henry Wieczorkowski (Terry), Stanley Wieczorkowski (Ruthie), and Richard Wieczorkowski (Saida), his sister-in-law Linda Wieczorkowski, his brother-in-law Charles Terlizzi, and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his brother Ziggy Wieczorkowski, and his sister Christine Terlizzi.  A Celebration of Life will be private.  The James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton has been entrusted with arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org.
