Lillian M Savignano, age 90, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Frank Savignano, Sr., passed away May 16, 2023.
Lillian was born in Derby, July 8, 1932, daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Demchak Deptula.
Lillian attended the University of Miami for 2 years. At 16, she was the youngest freshman to be admitted. In later years she received a degree in Interior Design from the Paier School of Art.
Lillian taught ballroom dancing at the Lorraine Judd Dance Center formerly in Ansonia. She was a tango enthusiast and greatly enjoyed dancing the Argentine Tango.
Lillian enjoyed traveling the world and spending her winters at her condo in Hallandale, Fl and many summers at the family beach house in Woodmont, CT.
Lillian is survived by her oldest son, Frank Savignano, Jr. (Kelly), her grandchildren Mickel Pacelli (Bob), Alana Montano, Morgan D’Amore (David), Jillian Savignano, Frank Savignano, III (Gina Sciongay), Danielle Savignano, Francesca Savignano, and Michael Savignano, Jr.
And her great-grandchildren Gabriella and Harper D’Amore, Preston and Kara Pacelli, Romeo Rivera and Miles Loyola, Frank Savignano, IV, Kade Deininger, and Emerson Tiesler.
Besides her husband and parents, Lillian was predeceased by her daughter Kara Savignano Montano, and her sons Michael and Gregg Savignano.
There will be no calling hours. A private church service will be held at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be at Mt. St. Peter’s Gardens Mausoleum, Derby.
The James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton have been entrusted with arrangements.
