Martha A. Skrovanek, age 92 of Shelton, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at her residence with her loving daughter by her side. Martha was born in Shelton, June 26, 1928, daughter of the late Philip Giannino and Catherine Carriero Giannino. Martha worked as a bookkeeper for Viking Tool of Shelton for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Shelton Senior Center where she played the organ and participated in many activities and exercise classes. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and most of all being with her family and making every event special. She is survived by her loving daughter Diane Sentner, her sisters Marie Curran and Carmella Finer, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Edward S. Jemioto, and her second husband Louis J. Skrovanek. A walk-through visitation will be held Thursday from 8:30AM to 9:30AM at the James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton. Please follow current social distancing guidelines and wear a mask. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10AM at St. Joseph Church, Shelton. Springtime interment will be held at Lawn Cemetery, Shelton at a date and time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, 50 Fairmont Place, Shelton, CT 06484.
