Robert D. Crowther, Jr., age 34 of Seymour, passed away July 4, 2020. Robert was born in Derby, February 17, 1986, son of Catherine Burritt Crowther and the late Robert D. Crowther, Sr. As a youth, Robert played for Shelton National Little League, Shelton Pop Warner Football, and also enjoyed doing BMX bike racing. He was the most beautiful soul who had a heart bigger than the universe. Anyone who ever met him loved him for his kindness, and for his sense of humor. He was the funniest guy you could ever know and he enjoyed being outdoors with his friends and family. He especially loved to go fishing which truly made him happy. Besides his mother, he is survived by his brothers Justin Crowther (Mary Prowse) of Beacon Falls, and Travis Crowther (Stephanie) of Shelton, his nephews Aidan and Ryan, his nieces Veronica and Cassidy, his step-nephews Zack and Evan, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by his very special friends Jess Henry, Mike Corcoran (Heather), and Bobby King, and many other friends who loved him dearly. Calling hours will be held Saturday from 12pm to 3pm at James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton. Due to current health concerns and gathering size limitations, social distancing measures will be taken place and masks will be required and only 25 people will be allowed inside at a time. Interment will be private.
